This page documents the change log of Zimo Web after its initial release. Changes are documented by major updates of Zimo Web, and major update is given a title and its release month. As changes are made often, this page only describes the major features added or changed in the update. Please refer to the Github repository for the comprehensive change log.

Infinity Update – September 2024

• Enhanced the Theme Maker with new orientation options for linear gradients.
• Added the Gallery, Eep, and Vibrant themes.
• Updated homepage and design pages.
• Blog articles now display the date of last edit.
• Reworked pop-up windows for better responsiveness and consistency.
• Implemented a new window framework to improve UI and interaction, laying the groundwork for future features.

Unlimited Themes Update – May 2024

• Added Theme Maker that allows the customization of themes.
• Updated the content of the Design page to include information about the Theme Maker.
• Promoted the Design page to the navigation bar.
• Added the Penumbra theme.
• Changed a few icons for better consistency.
• Rewritten the data structure of themes.

Happy Easter Update – April 2024

• Zimo Web now has a total of twenty themes.
• A new and rewritten notification system that comes in the form of a banner.
• Quality-of-life improvements to the image viewer widget.
• Other minor improvements and bug fixes.

Bountiful Update – January 2024

• Zimo Web now has a total of sixteen themes.
• Table of contents for blog and management articles are added.
• Other minor improvements and bug fixes.

All-New Zimo Web Update – November 2023

• Zimo Web has been rewritten from the ground up. It now utilizes the Next.js App Router which optimizes components by turning most of them into React Server Component. In short, this brings considerable optimization to load speed. The rewrite also cleans up duplicated code and unnecessary logic, which should make the codebase much cleaner and easier to work with.
• Themes! Color palettes and backgrounds are no longer restricted to the page they are in. Users are now able to change the theme of the page they are in simply by clicking a new setting entry in the menu panel. The update also comes with two new dark themes: Midnight and Glitter.

Spooky Halloween Update – October 2023

• Added a few more blog background arts that are exclusive to the Halloween season.
• Added a toggle for the Spooky Halloween effect.
  • The new seasonal effect triggers special visual elements on screen and is automatically turned on upon October 31st.
• Added a toggle for turning on and off sound effects.
• Optimized the file sizes of all SVG assets used in the website.
• Added a season system to facilitate the implementation of seasonal events in the future.
